Automotive Amerex fire extinguishing systems are designed for on- and off-road vehicles used in the public transportation, mining, waste management and forestry industries. Some of the possible causes of a fire in equipment:

  • Abrasion of the high pressure hydraulic line causes a pinhole and leakage of atomized hydraulic fluid onto the hot manifold.
  • Cardboard, paper and other combustible solids collect behind the hot exhaust manifold in the engine compartment of the garbage truck.
  • One of the machine's electrical cables is short-circuited, causing the insulation of the cable to catch fire.
  • Natural gas or hydrogen, flammable and invisible sources of ignition, ignited by accidental ejection of a cigarette butt.
  • Coal dust is ignited by a metallic spark.
  • A wire harness near the battery shorts out to the chassis of the car, melts, and then ignites.
